Dirk Wagners CrazyWeek

May 22, 2007 – 12:17 pm

Just as I finished off the last post, I got a promo from Dirk Wagner. This time he’s selling an ebook called “Ultimate Guide to Free Web Traffic”.

I already have that book. If I’m not mistaken, i have PLR for it. Not sure.

However. The ebook is actually quite ok. It’s a good read as long as the price stays under $10.

That’s not an affiliate-link. I didn’t purchase since I already own it.

The price goes up by $0.05 every 20 minutes, and last I checked it was at $5.05, which is a good price for the information in this ebook. If you pick it up while it’s still less than $10, you’re getting a good deal.

  2. Hi Bjorn;

First, all the best with your new blog.

I make a habit of not buying anything from anybody who use the ‘price will go up’ by the minute, hour or whatever.

I believe is unfair, especially to previous good customers who might not know about the offer.

I have no trouble with time limited or so many copies, etc. methods. But go up by…

    Just might my 2cents.

  3. Riki,

I agree. I tend to stay away from these myself. But I always enjoy checking out what type of crap they’re trying to stir up visitor frenzy around :)

The funniest part is that most of these scripts are easily circumvented.

    It’s all hype.

  4. Hi Bjorn -

I thought I should let your readers know that Dirk has spent the weekend using my (and others’) SMTP servers to spam untold thousands of users to promote his product.

This activity is immoral and illegal. I can’t imagine that your readers would ever want to be associated with this criminal.

  5. Hi Bjorn -

In the interest of fairness and goodwill, I wanted to update you and your readers that I am now in an email dialogue directly with Dirk.

I have supplied him with all the evidence I have around the recent increase in email activity and have alerted him to the negative impact on my business.

We both appear to be equally puzzled as the cause and source of this. I hope to report a satisfactory resolution shortly. Watch this space.

    Chris
